Saturn is one of the most unique planets in our Solar System because it could float in water—if there were an ocean large enough to hold it. This is because Saturn is mostly made of gases like hydrogen and helium, making it less dense than water. Its average density is only about 0.69 grams per cubic centimeter, while water has a density of 1 gram per cubic centimeter. Despite being the second-largest planet, Saturn is surprisingly light for its size. Its beautiful rings and low density make Saturn one of the most fascinating planets in space.
