Jupiter is the fastest rotating planet in our Solar System. It completes one full spin on its axis in just about 10 hours, much faster than Earth’s 24-hour day. This rapid rotation causes Jupiter to bulge at its middle and flatten slightly at its poles, giving it an oval shape. The fast spinning also creates powerful winds and massive storms in its atmosphere. One of the most famous storms is the Great Red Spot, a giant storm larger than Earth that has been raging for hundreds of years. Jupiter’s speed and unique features make it one of the most fascinating planets in space.
