Milky Way हमारी आकाशगंगा है, जो अत्यंत विशाल है। इसकी चौड़ाई लगभग 100,000 प्रकाश-वर्ष है, यानी प्रकाश को एक किनारे से दूसरे किनारे तक पहुँचने में 100,000 वर्ष लगेंगे। इसमें अरबों तारे, ग्रह, गैस, धूल और डार्क मैटर मौजूद हैं। हमारा सौरमंडल इसकी एक सर्पिल भुजा में स्थित है, जो केंद्र से काफी दूर है। इतनी विशाल होने के बावजूद, मिल्की वे ब्रह्मांड की अरबों आकाशगंगाओं में से केवल एक है, जो अंतरिक्ष की अद्भुत विशालता को दर्शाता है।

Milky Way is our home galaxy and is unimaginably vast. It is about 100,000 light-years wide, meaning light, which travels at about 300,000 km per second, would take 100,000 years to travel from one end to the other. The Milky Way contains hundreds of billions of stars, along with planets, gas, dust, and dark matter. Our Solar System is located in one of its spiral arms, far from the center. Despite its enormous size, the Milky Way is just one of billions of galaxies in the observable universe, showing how immense space truly is.
