CTET Paper 2 – Science | Quick Revision Notes

1. Nutrition

Nutrition वह प्रक्रिया है जिसके द्वारा जीव भोजन प्राप्त करते हैं और उसका उपयोग ऊर्जा, वृद्धि, शरीर की मरम्मत और maintenance के लिए करते हैं।

Types of Nutrition

  • Autotrophic Nutrition: जीव अपना भोजन स्वयं बनाते हैं।
  • Heterotrophic Nutrition: जीव भोजन के लिए दूसरे जीवों पर निर्भर रहते हैं।

2. Nutrition in Plants

हरे पौधे सामान्यतः autotrophs होते हैं। वे photosynthesis द्वारा अपना भोजन बनाते हैं।

Photosynthesis

Photosynthesis में पौधे carbon dioxide और water से sunlight और chlorophyll की उपस्थिति में glucose बनाते हैं।

Carbon Dioxide + Water → Glucose + Oxygen

आवश्यक तत्व

  1. Sunlight
  2. Chlorophyll
  3. Carbon dioxide
  4. Water

Important: Photosynthesis मुख्यतः पत्तियों में होता है।


3. Chlorophyll

Chlorophyll एक green pigment है जो पौधों की पत्तियों में पाया जाता है।

Functions:

  • पत्तियों को green colour देता है।
  • Sunlight को absorb करता है।
  • Photosynthesis में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाता है।

4. Stomata

Stomata पत्तियों की सतह पर पाए जाने वाले छोटे pores हैं।

Functions

  • Carbon dioxide का प्रवेश
  • Oxygen का बाहर निकलना
  • Water vapour का loss यानी transpiration

Stomata को guard cells नियंत्रित करती हैं।


5. Role of Roots

Roots मिट्टी से:

  • Water
  • Mineral nutrients

को absorb करती हैं।

Root hairs absorption के लिए surface area बढ़ाते हैं।


6. Other Modes of Nutrition in Plants

सभी पौधे केवल photosynthesis पर निर्भर नहीं होते।

Parasitic Nutrition

कुछ पौधे दूसरे पौधों से nutrients प्राप्त करते हैं।

Example: Cuscuta (Amarbel)

Insectivorous Nutrition

कुछ पौधे insects को पकड़कर उनसे nutrients प्राप्त करते हैं।

Examples:

  • Pitcher Plant
  • Venus Flytrap

Saprotrophic Nutrition

कुछ organisms dead and decaying matter से nutrients प्राप्त करते हैं।

Example: Fungi


7. Symbiosis

जब दो अलग-अलग organisms साथ रहकर एक-दूसरे से लाभ प्राप्त करते हैं, इसे symbiosis कहते हैं।

Example: Lichen

Lichen में:

  • Alga → Food बनाता है।
  • Fungus → Water, minerals और shelter प्रदान करता है।

8. Nutrition in Animals

Animals heterotrophic organisms हैं। वे अपना भोजन स्वयं नहीं बना सकते।

Nutrition की मुख्य प्रक्रियाएँ:

Ingestion → Digestion → Absorption → Assimilation → Egestion

ProcessMeaning
IngestionFood को शरीर में लेना
DigestionComplex food को simpler substances में बदलना
AbsorptionDigested nutrients का blood/lymph में जाना
AssimilationNutrients का शरीर द्वारा उपयोग
EgestionUndigested food को बाहर निकालना

9. Human Digestive System

मुख्य digestive organs:

Mouth → Oesophagus → Stomach → Small Intestine → Large Intestine → Rectum → Anus

Accessory Organs

  • Salivary glands
  • Liver
  • Pancreas

10. Digestion in Mouth

Mouth में:

  • Teeth food को chew करते हैं।
  • Tongue food को mix करने में सहायता करती है।
  • Saliva food को moist करता है।
  • Salivary amylase starch के digestion की शुरुआत करता है।

Starch → Simpler Sugars


11. Stomach

Stomach में food temporarily stored होता है।

Gastric juice में मुख्य रूप से:

  • Hydrochloric Acid (HCl)
  • Pepsin
  • Mucus

होते हैं।

Functions

  • HCl acidic medium प्रदान करता है।
  • Pepsin protein digestion में सहायता करता है।
  • Mucus stomach lining की protection करता है।

Important: Protein digestion की शुरुआत stomach में होती है।


12. Small Intestine

Small intestine digestion और absorption का प्रमुख स्थान है।

यहाँ:

  • Bile
  • Pancreatic juice
  • Intestinal juice

digestion में सहायता करते हैं।

Bile

Bile liver द्वारा बनाया जाता है।

मुख्य कार्य:

  • Fats का emulsification
  • Acidic food को neutralize करने में सहायता

Important: Bile में digestive enzyme नहीं होता।


13. Villi

Small intestine की inner wall पर finger-like projections को villi कहते हैं।

Function

Villi:

  • Absorption के लिए surface area बढ़ाते हैं।
  • Digested nutrients को absorb करने में सहायता करते हैं।

14. Large Intestine

Large intestine का मुख्य कार्य:

  • Water का absorption
  • Undigested food को आगे भेजना
  • Faeces formation में सहायता

18. Balanced Diet

एक balanced diet में शरीर की आवश्यकता के अनुसार उचित मात्रा में:

  • Carbohydrates
  • Proteins
  • Fats
  • Vitamins
  • Minerals
  • Water
  • Roughage

होते हैं।

Balanced diet व्यक्ति की age, activity level और nutritional requirements के अनुसार अलग हो सकती है।

Autotrophic vs Heterotrophic Nutrition

Digestion: Complex food को simpler substances में बदलना।

Absorption: Digested nutrients का blood या lymph में जाना।
