NMMSS Scholarship क्या है?
National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship Scheme (NMMSS) शिक्षा मंत्रालय के Department of School Education & Literacy द्वारा लागू की जाती है।
इसका उद्देश्य आर्थिक रूप से कमजोर वर्गों के मेधावी विद्यार्थियों को आर्थिक सहायता देना और Class VIII के बाद school dropout को कम करना है। Scholarship को निर्धारित शैक्षणिक शर्तों के अधीन Class X से XII तक renewal के माध्यम से जारी रखा जा सकता है।
कितनी Scholarship मिलेगी?
NMMSS के तहत चयनित विद्यार्थियों को:
₹12,000 प्रति वर्ष
की scholarship दी जाती है।
Scholarship राशि Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) के माध्यम से eligible students के bank accounts में भेजी जाती है।
कितने Students को Scholarship मिलती है?
हर वर्ष 1 लाख fresh scholarships Class IX के eligible students के लिए प्रदान की जाती हैं।
इसके बाद निर्धारित eligibility और academic performance के आधार पर scholarship को Class X, XI और XII में renew किया जा सकता है।
NMMSS Eligibility 2026-27
NMMSS के लिए प्रमुख eligibility conditions में शामिल हैं:
विद्यार्थी का अध्ययन State Government, Government-aided या Local Body School में होना चाहिए।
Scholarship के लिए विद्यार्थी को संबंधित State/UT द्वारा आयोजित qualifying selection examination में निर्धारित शर्तें पूरी करनी होती हैं।
Selection test में शामिल होने के लिए Class VII में सामान्यतः कम से कम 55% marks या equivalent grade आवश्यक है।
SC/ST students के लिए 5% relaxation का प्रावधान है।
माता-पिता की annual income ₹3.50 lakh से अधिक नहीं होनी चाहिए।
Eligibility के लिए संबंधित State/UT और NMMSS guidelines की conditions भी देखना आवश्यक है।
NMMSS 2026-27 के लिए OTR जरूरी
2026-27 academic year में selected students को National Scholarship Portal पर One-Time Registration (OTR) करना होगा। OTR के बाद विद्यार्थी अपनी eligible scholarship scheme के लिए application submit कर सकते हैं।
NSP के अनुसार OTR एक unique number है और scholarship application के लिए आवश्यक है।

Students के लिए जरूरी निर्देश
जिन eligible students ने अभी तक आवेदन नहीं किया है, उन्हें 30 September 2026 से पहले application submit करना चाहिए।
